Change in countdown

Due dates are just estimates and I find it interesting how much everyone hangs on to them during a pregnancy (myself included). Either way, Marshall and I have been going off of the May 15 due date given to us by my original OB/GYN. At 22 weeks we switched to the midwife and I just assumed that my due date stayed the same. Turns out that she calculates the due date differently than the OB and my chart at her office has a due date of May 13. At first we were just going to stick with the original date we had, but now that we are in the final few days here everything at the midwife's office is revolving around the 5/13 date. In order to not get confused we are going to start going by this date as well which means we are actually two days "closer" now, although ultimately it won't change the date she decides to appear. By the way, this morning I asked her if it was her birthday and she moved right when I said it! (Unfortunately I don't think that my unscientific prediction is actually going to work).

The NST and checkup on Tuesday went well and now I am scheduled for another NST and amniotic fluid check on Friday. Next week I have 2 NST's scheduled again and then a growth ultrasound on 5/8 to ensure that she isn't getting any smaller. My plan is to keep taking all of these tests one at a time and not stress too much about it.

In other news I finally decided on my last day of work and it will be 5/7, which is only a week from today! I have been feeling great and know that I could probably work longer than that, but I really think I need to take the time to relax before she gets here!

Yeah, you can't stress about a Non-Stress Test! (Bad joke I know.) I know what you mean about the due date though; my mom is hanging on our May 19th due date like that is the gold standard and anything less than that Aurora was not "ready" and should have stayed in longer.
