So the NST at the Midwife's office on Friday went well. I had some sugar before the appointment, so the baby was moving around and they were satisfied because her heart rate would accelerate every time she moved. I still don't feel like she moves around all that much, although when I concentrate and make note of it, she is definitely moving. I guess I just really noticed the change in the type of movement, since now it is more of a rolling/side to side twisting than the more obvious kicking. The midwife told me that was because she is running out of room for acrobatics!
Friday night we got Marshall's graduation announcements in the mail and got right to addressing them and mailing them out. We had quite an assembly line and it was a big relief to drop those off at the post office just a few hours later. We also met with our doula on Saturday morning to go over our birth plan. It was surreal to be talking about everything because it is so close to happening. She recommended that I start walking around as much as possible as well as lay on the birth ball since right now the baby is head down but face up (we want her to turn face down for an easier labor). We also got half of our cloth diapers this weekend which was exciting. They are very cute and I can't wait to try them out. Marshall is amazing and already washed and prepped them, so they are ready to go. We may have to use the small disposables at first though if she is really as small as they think she is since the cloth diapers might leak if the baby is under 7 pounds. Speaking of her weight, she isn't *as* small as I thought on Wednesday. Based on the ultrasound they think she is somewhere around 5 pounds 13 ounces which is definitely much closer to 6 pounds! I just hope that everything is ok and that she is healthy. I have been drinking over a gallon of water a day and consuming anywhere from 100-150 grams of protein (!!) so we will see if that makes a difference at this Friday's follow up ultrasound.
I had a few contractions this weekend but nothing much. I keep thinking that her birth is so far off but in reality she could be here any day! Mentally I want to open myself up to the fact that she can come at any time since I feel like my body will pick up on that cue. I told Marshall that every morning from here on out I will ask her if it is her birthday and if she moves then that will be the day (somehow he doesn't think this will work!) Overall, I haven't noticed any pre-labor signs, but hopefully they will be coming soon.
