Next up is Hazel's 2nd birthday and then after that we have our annual Memorial Day camping trip. I can't believe another year has gone by! We are going to Sesame Street Live next week and I also signed the kids up for a music class that they can attend together, so I really do think I am finally getting the hang of all this!

Vacation!!!
We just got back last night from a much needed vacation up to Sonoma County (aka Wine Country). We stayed in another one of our timeshare properties and it was absolutely beautiful! Add in the fact that they had a pool, kiddie pool, 4 hot tubs, a playground, basketball courts AND and spa and it was a total dream! We had a great time just hanging out and relaxing and the kids had so much fun, particularly playing in the 1 foot kiddie pool that was ideally the temperature of bath water. Initially we had planned on just staying the weekend but we ended up extending the trip as once you have packed up and driven two kids you might as well stretch out your time away :)

Another delayed update!
Of course I can't keep up with the posting as life seems to be getting busier and busier! We have been having a gorgeous spring here in Fresno with lots of visitors, so the good times have been plentiful. It's really sweet cause all of our fun visitors have been staying in our guest room and even after they leave Hazel will go knock on the door because she thinks someone fun will be inside waiting for her!
I've been surprised by the fact that it is Hazel who has been growing (up) by leaps and bounds. She is still speaking her "own" language, but her vocabulary is growing every single day and there have even been a few two word sentences this week. One of the funnier things she has been doing is as we are pulling out of our driveway she will say bye to all sorts of things "bye house", "bye toys", "bye B (Marlee, what she calls our dog!)". It is so cute. Marshall also taught her how to jump so she has been busy perfecting that skill. It is just too crazy to believe she will be 2 in just a couple of weeks. We went and toured a place called Kidspark yesterday which is exactly what I have been looking for. It is drop in hourly childcare (no reservations needed) and they are open from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm. It is a really great/highly recommended place and has all sorts of fun stuff for the kids, including a preschool curriculum if they are dropped off in the morning. Anyway, it is great for the occasional appointment or dinner date where we can't find a sitter and I'm excited to have that resource available to me once Hazel turns 2 (their minimum age).
Roscoe is moving right along now too and we think he will be crawling any day! I can't wait until the day Hazel discovers he can actually chase her around, I think she will be amazed :) He is also getting all 4 of his front teeth at the same time which has made for some loooooooooong nights! I'm hoping they all just pop out soon to give him (and me) some relief.
Overall, things are good. Marshall had a fanstastic 30th birthday and we saw Wicked this weekend which was AWESOME!! We are going to see good friends this coming weekend for their baby shower and then the weekend after that we are taking a trip with some friends up to Windsor, so we have a lot to look forward to!
