Here we go again!

After suspending our home search for a year it is back on in full force. In fact, we are heading out to see three houses tonight. Just as a refresher, our lease at our current place is up on 8/31/2010 and our due date is 8/21/2010. They will let us extend on a month-to-month basis here (at a premium of course) but we are so ready for a home and the extra space it will provide! Wish us luck!

Week 30

Well it finally feels like we are getting into the home stretch. I can not wait to meet this little guy and as much as I enjoy it, I can not wait to no longer be pregnant :) With Hazel I remember being so excited to see Marshall become a father (and as predicted, he is incredible!) While I am excited for the same thing this time around I am also so looking forward to seeing Hazel become a big sister! In the big scheme of things, a little over nine weeks is a drop in the bucket so I will keep that in mind when it feels like I can no longer do the things I used to do comfortably. Oh, and in NO WAY do I want him to come early... we need as much spacing between the two as we can get!

Here Comes Summer

Albeit a bit later than usual the heat has finally arrived here in Fresno! I kept wondering when it was going to show up and lo and behold here it is! Since I usually tend to feel colder than most people I can honestly say I am surprised at just how hot I am already with being pregnant here in the summer (with Hazel the 3 months I was not pregnant were June, July and August)! I am curious to see how it goes for me in July and August coming up here and while it may get hot, I would still rather be pregnant here in the summer than toting around a newborn and all the things that go with him.

Things are going well for us and I can't believe we will be in the single digits for our weekly countdown very soon. I'm hanging in there but have had considerable low back pain these last few days (where it is difficult to just walk, let alone pick up Hazel) as well as a cold, so I am just wiped out at the end of each day. We went to a U-pick Cherry Farm this past weekend and had a lot of fun picking delicious Tulare cherries and making a cherry crisp. Needless to say we are planning on making this an annual tradition :)

Hazel keeps getting bigger and now all four of her first molars are out (phew). Next up are the canines and then the second year molars. It seems like she has been getting teeth constantly, it will be nice when it is over with! She is still curious as ever and her new favorite past time is opening the dishwasher (and even figuring out the child-lock we bought for it). We also finally found some sippy cups that she can use easily so she is drinking her milk about 75% out of the cup and 25% from the bottle. It is just so exciting to see her getting older and more independent!
