New Pictures
Marshall is still waiting to hear back about his job which has been nice as we have had time to organize and pack for our move. We have also had time to take some pictures of Hazel which turned out great. Check them out here. Other than that we have just been enjoying our time together as a family. I originally had these great visions of us hanging out, getting frozen yogurt and going for walks when Marshall had his two weeks off right after Hazel was born (Ha!). I soon discovered that instead those two weeks would be spent recovering from childbirth, overwhelmed and completely sleep deprived. As such, I am happy to have discovered that family time now and am rather enjoying it!

Look-Alikes
Hazel definitely takes after her daddy in the looks department. Check out these photos!

Marshall & Hazel snoozing away. Even the way they have their legs is the same!

Both of them have the serious look down! (By the way, Marshall is the twin on the left)
And then, just for contrast here is a photo of me...looking nothing like Hazel!

Lots of Changes!
First of all, sorry to all of those that got caught in-between the blog going from public to private. I started the process of converting it, then Hazel needed me and then it seemed as if I couldn't find another free moment to get it completed! Either way, now the blog is private (as referred to in my post on 8/6) just to keep our personal and professional lives separate. I have no problem "inviting" anyone to see it, so just send me an email and let me know if I have excluded anyone.
Things are going great. Marshall has been done with his internship and has been enjoying his first "real" week off since we can remember. The State is still processing his application and hopefully we will be getting a start date for him soon. Baylee is here from Seattle visiting with us for the week and was kind enough to watch Hazel while we went and looked at a few apartments. Amazingly enough we found one that will be a great fit for us this next year and we are moving September 1st! It is much bigger and has the things we were originally looking for in a house (attached garage, open floorplan, grassy area for Marlee, more than one bathroom) without the commitment to a certain neighborhood or a mortgage just yet.
Hazel keeps growing like crazy. We went to a birthday party this weekend and there was a 6 month old there that was just barely bigger than her! She is still sleeping really well through the nights and now we are even able to put her down in her bassinet while she is wide awake and she will just lay there and check out her mobile until she falls asleep on her own. Sometimes we still can't believe she is here and is our little girl... we are so lucky!

Going "Dark"
Just like Jack Bauer on the show 24 it has become necessary for this blog to go "dark" (i.e. private). With Hazel having an auditor for the IRS as her mother and a psychologist for a father I am honestly surprised that it took us this long to realize this might be a good idea... Either way, we have come to the realization that privacy for our baby girl and family is of the utmost importance. The good news is that the blog will still go on, you will just need to be "invited" to view it. Email me your email address or post it in the comments section if you would like to be included on the list and I will make sure to keep you all included as this blog goes undercover. Love you all!

Garlic and Waffles
This last week has been really busy! Mostly because I have been working from home so I feel like the days are going by really fast and there just hasn't been enough time. I am working from home to finish some continuing education courses that are due before the end of August and honestly I have not liked it one bit! It has been hard not to be able to devote my attention to the cutest little baby in the world. Lots has changed this week as well. After much discussion we decided to put the house search on hold. This alleviates a lot of anxiety especially since we still don't have a start date for Marshall's job yet. We have decided instead to buy a bigger car (which we should be picking out today) and when a bigger apartment comes open at our complex we plan on moving to it.
As for our activities this last week, we drove up to Gilroy to meet our friends Eddie and Erin for the Garlic Festival. It was a fun time had by all but I was honestly shocked by how HOT it was there!! The high "only" hit 91, which I thought would have been fine coming from the 100+ temps here in Fresno, but I forgot to factor in being outside and walking around. We saw some "been there done that" parents whose kids had clip on stroller fans or misters and realized that would be a good idea for our next festival.

Yum...

In other news Hazel is getting bigger by the day! This morning we finally set up her new high chair so that she could enjoy her coffee and waffles in comfort!

Whew... I am stuffed!

Check out my new seat!
