Almost Christmas!

Well, I'd say there has been some long overdue updating and I'm only now feeling settled enough to do it! We have had a lot of stress around here these last few months with potential layoffs at Marshall's work and after MUCH waiting we finally were given word on Friday that he is getting transferred to an institution that is still within commuting distance from our home which means WE DON'T HAVE TO MOVE!!! Yipee!!!!! I am so grateful Marshall is willing to add to his commute in such a way so that we get to keep all of our friends, family, connections, etc in Fresno. There are no words to describe how nice it is to just relax and feel secure (at least for the time being, he does work for the State afterall...)

Other than that Christmas has been in full swing around here. Hazel is finally starting to understand some stuff and is somewhat interested in Santa but I think that will be solidified come the morning of 12/25 when she sees that the presents from him are a reality. She and Roscoe continue to spend their days playing with each other and having fun, although now he is a little less willing to just "give" her everything that he is playing with, so that can at times spark a little rift between the two of them. She is also pretty much obsessed with watching Prep & Landing which we have saved on the DVR. For some reason whenever the elves light up their night vision goggles she just squeals with delight.

My parents (aka Omi and Grandpa) are coming for Christmas as is Auntie Lili. Uncle Maris and Aunt Diana are going to be in Oregon this year for Christmas. Overall it should be fun and will be the end of one year ushering into one that is going to be jam packed with lots of fun events and occasions! My hope is also to be better at keeping up with the blog so that the thought of "catching up" isn't so overwhelming :)

Yes! So, so happy you don't have to move, Marshall has a job, and you can stop stressing. Now you can plan your trip to Japan or Italy! :)
