Update

Well we have obviously been staying busy this summer and every time I sit down to write a blog post I get interrupted, so maybe if I make this short and sweet it will actually get posted?

Things have been going great around here. In the last several weeks Hazel actually decided to start potty training on her own (we've had the potty in the bathroom since December and one night at dinner a few weeks ago she just came out carrying the potty full of pee!) Since then she has done quite well and when we are at home she almost always uses the potty and we are working on getting better when we are out and during the nights. It has definitely been nice to not go through/change as many diapers but it is also a bit more stressful to know that I might have more messes to clean up :)

Hazel started swim lessons in June which has been great and she really seems to enjoy herself. We also bought a boat this week and are looking forward to cruising the lake so it will be really important that the kids learn to swim well and early on.

Roscoe is growing like crazy and is working on his seventh tooth! He can also wave bye bye and clap. He also loves to say dadaaaa but still isn't saying mama! He is standing up on everything but still hasn't taken the leap to stand up all on his own. He's getting more and more stable though so we are quite curious to see if he will be walking around at his first birthday party.

Summer has been awesome, really enjoying getting out and about (early in the morning to escape the heat). We got a bike trailer and I have really been enjoying the newfound freedom! The kids gets a bit bored in the back but we make sure to stop at the park to break things up.
